The Position
In a global and cross-functional environment, the System Development department is responsible for workflow optimization and the successful integration of hardware, software, consumables and reagents to finally perform the system verification of diagnostics instruments.
As a System Integration Troubleshooter, you will work as a part of a cross-functional team on the development or product care of complex diagnostics systems consisting of fluidcs, robotics software, thermal, electrical, mechanical and biochemistry elements.
As System Integration Troubleshooter, your main responsibilities will consist of (but will not be limited to):

Conducting root-cause investigations of systemic issues found during development or escalated from field or Operations in all lifecycle phases (from early feasibility to product care), and collaborate with other functions do develop solutions for complex issues

Building up subject matter expertise and providing support to the RMD Development Teams (Assay-, Software- and Instrument-Development), Global Customer Support (GCS), Case Investigation and Resolution (CIR) and Operations. This requires close cross-department interaction to gather all information needed to ensure high-quality support.

Responsible for internal repair visits, retrofitting of mechanical parts, configuration management monitoring and tracking and installing or updating of the Instrument Software.

Independent Planning of assigned Workpackages and continuously monitoring and tracking of the working progress.

Conduct integration development activities on system component level, thereby closely interact with project teams, and participating and coordinating with other internal groups and departments.

Performing statistical data analysis to support root-cause investigation & problem solving, risk assessment, product development and process improvement.

Degree in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Ability to work independently, handling cross-departmental development tasks

Excellent communication skills and fluency in English and German

Strong analytical and interdisciplinary thinking

Experience in statistical data analysis
