The Opportunity:
As Senior Medical Manager, Oncology, you will be part of our Lead TA Oncology team, responsible for the implementation of the medical strategy (Core Medical Plan) in the designated therapeutic area, Oncology, at the affiliate level.
You will be coordinating and executing medical / scientific activities to understand the local external environment and data gaps; translate insights into strategies and activities and ensure the information needs of key stakeholders are fulfilled to help ensure the safe and appropriate use of Astellas products.
Through your solid communications and organization skills, you will influence key stakeholders and be part of an inclusive team that works to develop innovative therapies for patients.

As Senior Medical Manager, Oncology and part of our Lead TA Oncology team, you will:
- Provide strategic medical and scientific expertise in support of all affiliate Medical Affairs (MA) deliverables and cross-functional activities.
- Demonstrate matrix leadership by developing and maintaining integrated partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure all MA affiliate activities address local needs and advance the medical/scientific understanding of Astellas products across their lifecycle.
- Be responsible for understanding and engaging external stakeholders to advance the understanding of and science behind compounds in development, the safe and effective use of Astellas products and disease states that they treat.
- Engage and work closely with key internal stakeholders, including the brand teams across the affiliate to achieve business objectives for the affiliate.
- Ensure all affiliate MA activities deliver value and are based on scientific validity, clinical importance and on time & budget.
Essential Knowledge & Experience:
- Solid experience in Medical Affairs positions. Suitable candidates from academia with strong expertise in the therapeutic area including clinical/ hospital practice, clinical development, experience in designing, executing and reporting of clinical trials can be considered.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of industry laws and regulations.
- Experienced in managing complex projects and effectively act independently e.g. AdBoards, Publications, Preceptorship).
- Proactive strategic partnering with different internal functions e.g. Commercial, Market Access, HEOR.
Preferred Knowledge/Experience/Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree (MD, PhD in health-related science)or equivalent.
- Extensive background in the Oncology Therapeutic Area.
Education/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related to Health Science.
- Proficiency in English and French languages.
Additional information:
- This is a permanent, full-time position.
- This position is based in Levallois-Perret, France.
- This position follows our hybrid working model. Role requires a blend of home and a minimum of 2 days per week in our Levallois-Perret office. Flexibility may be required in line with business needs. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office.
