The Position
Owns E2E device manufacturing engineering by:
-
Ensuring manufacturing readiness by appropriate design and scale-up of processes, instruments and equipment from the laboratory through pilot plant and manufacturing scale-up.

Providing senior strategic and technical leadership for E2E manufacturing equipment strategies and process development and robustness governance.
Global Device MSAT ensures process robustness and timely market introduction by:

Leading all aspects of Process Engineering capabilities at internal Sites as well as for Suppliers and CMOs from PE and manufacturability point of view.

Ensuring early and detailed process design in alignment with the device design.

Expanding Process Engineering capabilities as a Single Point of contact for commercial combination product and medical device process ownership and management.

Establish design for manufacturability stage/ gate process to ensure robust and cost effective manufacturing processes.
Ensure uninterrupted supply and business continuity of critical components and final products through collaboration with multiple functions of the Device Community:

Accountable for the device manufacturing process performance through modern equipment in collaboration with Site Manufacturing network.

Leading an organization of Device Experts for new and advanced Manufacturing Technologies and teams of Manufacturing and Sterilization Process Engineers (located globally and at sites).

Partnering to drive device manufacturing equipment investment strategy and device process standardization within the network.
Active and standing member of the Global Device MSAT Leadership Team. As a member of the PT Device Community, advocate and collaborate for entire Pharma TechOps and beyond (Product Franchise, Procurement, etc...).
Accountable for demonstrating as a role model and realizing Roche’s core values, behaviors and DE&I Leadership Commitments.
Accountable for crafting & developing a strong sense of belonging in all functions contributing to the Device Community with focus and collaborative mentality and behaviors. Coordinating the progress of Device Community activities and acting as a coach.
