For our Finance team based in St-Prex (VD), we are looking for an experienced


 

to oversee general accounting operations for our Swiss legal entities by controlling and verifying our financial transactions.

 

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO IN YOUR ROLE

  • Maintain financial accounting (general ledger, suppliers, customers) for several legal entities
  • Own and execute several processes included but not limited to the fixed assets, accruals, VAT reporting
  • Own the closing activities including preparation and/or review of journal entries, account reconciliations, intergroup operations reconciliation. Prepare reporting package for the Group -Accounting for the monthly consolidation
  • Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
  • Prepare VAT statements
  • Assist tax consultant in tax declaration preparation
  • Support and coordinate other team members where needed
  • Provide support to external audits to ensure compliance
  • Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls for assigned areas
  • Lead the identification of opportunities for process improvement or operational automation in existing system infrastructure
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and provide support to Finance Manager where needed
  • Backup for other team members in case of absence

 

THE EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU WILL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance, or Brevet Fédéral
  • Experience in an accounting department, ideally in an industrial company
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
  • In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office tools (especially Excel)
  • Good knowledge of SAP (FI module, others a plus)
