In this pivotal and dynamic role, you will lead our medium voltage surge arrester sales team of approximately 8 members, ensuring we enhance our competitiveness and expand our Swiss branch to align with global market growth in the energy sector. How you’ll make an impact 

  • Market and sell medium voltage surge arresters using own team, Hitachi front end sales, and new sales channels 

  • Manage market positioning, share, orders, gross margin, pricing, and global market size 

  • Participate in local management team, integrate customer feedback and market intelligence into strategy 

  • Develop sales team and improve marketing and sales methods 

  • Ensure cooperation with operations, quality, and engineering for optimal customer experience 

  • Oversee use and data quality of global sales and marketing tools like configurator and Salesforce, including LEAN processes 

  • Provide internal sales training for surge arresters 

  • Uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, ensuring compliance with sales processes and health, safety, and environment policies 

  • Understand relevant IEC and ANSI Standards 

Your background  

  • Master or Diploma degree in electrical engineering or equivalent 

  • Previous experience in the field of high-voltage transmission & distribution segment is a plus 

  • 5+ years’ experience in marketing and sales or business development roles 

  • Fluent in English, additional language skills are a plus 

  • Proven team leader, negotiation and communication skills 

  • High customer orientation, intercultural sensitivity and team working skills 

  • Flexibility and the willingness to travel and work in a multicultural and diverse global team
