OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE
- Achieve seamless alignment and synchronization of configurations between SAP MDG and SAP ECC systems, ensuring system integrity through effective coordination and monitoring of configuration changes.
- Enhance system reliability and efficiency by troubleshooting and resolving integration issues and optimizing integration processes for smooth operation across SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Define workflows and business rules to optimize operational efficiency and ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
- Support data migration and integration projects by providing guidance, adhering to best practices and governance standards, and ensuring timely execution of project tasks to meet business objectives.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Accountable for overseeing the alignment and synchronization of configurations between SAP MDG and ERP systems, coordinating synchronization activities with release management, support teams, and project teams, and monitoring and managing configuration changes to maintain system integrity.
· Accountable for troubleshooting and resolving integration issues, enhancing integration processes for improved reliability and efficiency, and ensuring seamless integration of MDG with various SAP and non-SAP systems
· Provide support and guidance for data migration and integration projects involving MDG, ensure adherence to best practices and governance standards, and assist in planning and executing project tasks to meet deadlines and objectives.
· Ensure engagement with business stakeholders to understand their integration requirements and translate these needs into technical solutions that align with overall business objectives.
· Ensure that the IT environment meets all applicable regulatory, quality, legal, and compliance requirements, including licensing of software and data protection acts (DPA, GDPR, etc.).
· Ensure all development is delivered in accordance with all applicable compliance requirements, e.g., SOX, GxP.
Adhere to the organization’s strategy for managing SAP systems and the policies, standards, procedures, and methods necessary to implement the strategy.
CORE ELEMENTS RELATED TO THIS ROLE
· Provide clear guidance to project and support teams on configuration synchronization and MDM integration.
Support the internal MDG Subject Matter Expert with a focus on Material Master.
DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS
Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Material Master Data and its implementation on MDG S/4, along with good knowledge of SAP Fiori, Solution Manager, and SAP Migration tools.
- Exhibit excellent analytical skills and business process understanding, with a special focus on Master Data Management in SAP MDG.
- Support the setup and implementation of governance rules in the integration area.
- Gather and analyze business and functional requirements, translating them into design specifications.
- Provide support and guidance for various projects involving data migration and integration to MDG, ensuring adherence to best practices and governance standards.

- Confident to interact with senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrates strong collaboration, teamwork, and individual contribution.
- Exhibits flexibility and adaptability when work direction changes.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
- Minimum of 5 years of SAP work experience with in-depth knowledge of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) and ERP systems.
- Experience with data integration tools and techniques.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to data integration.
- Familiarity with best practices and governance standards in data migration.
- Proficient hands-on experience in configuration synchronization across various landscapes.
- Technical expertise in SAP MDG with a focus on Master Data Management.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas and data both verbally and in writing in a persuasive and appropriate manner.
- Data management skills, including the ability to utilize data collection, analysis, maintenance, application, and refinement methods to make fact-based decisions.
- Analytical skills, with the ability to analyze a wide variety of data and make appropriate decisions.
- Efficient time management and task coordination skills, with experience working in an international environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or other advanced degree.
Desired:
- Master degree.
- In-depth Pharmaceutical industry and drug development experience.
Experience with validated systems.
