Client Operations Analyst

As a Client Operations Analyst within JP Morgan Suisse Private Bank, you will be part of the wider Client Operations team, with a particular focus on ensuring adherence to regulatory Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Client (KYC) requirements and Risk Framework.


Key priorities of the Client Operations Analyst include the review of client documentation at account opening and during the lifetime of existing accounts, the maintenance of up-to-date KYC profiles for Private Banking clients, and the input of data in a variety of systems; with the highest standards of quality and care, ensuring that the business is compliant with all Bank policies and regulatory/legal requirements globally.


You will have frequent interactions with stakeholders (Front Office, Compliance, Markets Managers, Risk Management) in a fast-paced environment, as well as the opportunity to work on specific projects. 


Job Responsibilities



  • Perform the documentation updates process within the agreed SLA to minimize disruption and qualitatively enhance the client experience, while reducing risk for the Bank;

  • Ensure that the business is compliant with all Bank policies and local requirements;

  • Keep the rejection rate to the minimum by ensuring the right level of communication with the Front Office and other key stakeholders;

  • Ensure that quality control checks are passed;

  • Prepare and sort documents for data entry;

  • Enter data into various databases and check to ensure the accuracy of the data inputted;

  • Perform remediation exercises as requested, including remediation of digital and physical records.


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills



  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience in delivering at pace in a pressured environment to effectively meet deadlines

  • Sound understanding of KYC/AML fields and deep knowledge of the different structures open within the Wealth Management industry and the documentation associated with such structures

  • Legal or Compliance background with strong knowledge of Swiss Law, CDB, OBA FINMA and other regulatory topics related to companies with complex structures

  • Excellent communication skills, organizational skills (attention to detail, methodical, process driven) and strong sense of accountability and ownership

  • Multi-tasker who can manage multiple streams of work concurrently and prioritize effectively / Ability to work effectively in a team environment and ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business and technological environment

  • Ability to deal with highly confidential information in a professional manner

  • Fluency in English mandatory

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, in particular with Word and Excel


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills



  • Higher degree in Finance or Law preferred

  • Fluency in French, German, Spanish, Arabic or Portuguese would be a strong advantage
