We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our Research & Development team at the HQ located in Geneva.
You will participate to the design and development of surgical instruments and implants medical devices used in Spine Arthroplasty.
Day to day, you will work with a dedicated team for arthroplasty (project manager, marketing product manager) and will interact with the organization (Industrialization, regulatory and QA engineer).
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Contribute to new product development projects and to the maintenance of existing product lines
- Comply with the project schedule
- Comply with applicable regulatory requirements ISO13485, 21CFR Part 820, MDD 93-42-EEC & MDR 2017/745
- Interact with the Organization (MKT, OPS, RA/QA) at the different stages of the projects from design inputs to Product Launch
- Execute the design & drawings of new products according to the design specifications, costs objectives, performance and quality standards
- Responsible for the drawing dimensioning and the drawing management
- Contribute to the establishment of the design specifications
- Responsible for prototyping and manufacturing of test devices in conjunction with the manufacturers
- Contribute to the test plan, execute or follow up on tests
- Contribute to the industrialization of new products (in particular drawing reviews)
- Write documentation, including test reports, in accordance with regulatory and Quality requirements
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of the Design History File (DHF) of the project
Additional activities
- Occasional support to Regulatory Affairs
- Occasional support to Production, Product Quality, process validation and product inspection
- Occasional support to Marketing Lead arthroplasty product development activities
Who you are:
- Experienced (+7 years) mechanical engineer or training with solid technical knowledge, in the design and manufacture of products
- Expertise in GD&T & drawings with Solidworks
- Experience in a technical field with strong regulatory constraints (medical, automotive, special machinery, aeronautics, etc.)
- Inventive, curious, rigorous, meticulous, able to propose innovative and efficient technical solutions
- Interpersonal skills and enjoy working in a team
- Fluent in English (written and spoken, recent professional practice)
- Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc…)
- Knowledge in design of orthopedics devices would be a plus
