The EMEA Quality Specialist will work within Adhesives to drive improvement to products and quality processes within the portfolio with a focus on contract manufacturing in the EMEA Region. This role will need to be able to work flexibly across the business and adjust to changing priorities when an immediate need is identified.
Position Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper application and execution of business work processes impacting quality.
- Leads and facilitates identified projects within Adhesives as identified by the Adhesives business to drive product quality and quality work process improvements.
- Manages and prioritizes opportunities for the Adhesives business where quality process and product improvements are needed.
- Interfaces with the global functions to remain aligned on priorities, best practices and performance metrics.
- Generate and use quality data (customer complaints, plant metrics etc.) to enable cross functional partners to drive product quality improvements.
- Investigate customer complaints, prepare 8D reports and resolve with customer
- Monitor the effectiveness of the quality management system and communicate to leadership improvement opportunities.
- Lead and participate in management of change reviews that potentially impact product quality (e.g. specification, train qualifications, plant equipment / systems, analytical testing, etc).
- Conduct audits of plants, labs, terminals, warehouses, contract manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, customers, etc. to ensure customer needs are met. Leverage findings to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Fluent in German and English
- Several years of experience in quality assurance and quality control systems is required, preferably in the adhesives, chemical or automotive industry.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physical Sciences, any Engineering Discipline, or related field is preferred.
- Root cause analysis and improvement methodology experience is required.
- Certification to ISO9001 and experience as a quality systems auditor is required.
- Ability to travel in the region is required (20-30%)
- Knowledge of IATF16949, VDA 6.3, Automotive Core Tools (FMEA, Control Plan, 8D etc) and other quality standards are highly desirable
- Training to six sigma is preferred.

- Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel®, Word®, PowerPoint®, and SharePoint®.
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated strong technical writing skills.
- Ability to work both independently and in team environments.
- Demonstrated ability to self‐manage time and resources to get results.
- Clean driving license
- Wiligness to travel 20%
