The Opportunity
As a member of the global Direct Procurement Operations team, you are responsible for the execution of Procurement Operations activities as well as supplier management responsibilities (negotiating, contracting, performance management) in alignment with the respective Category Management teams.
Perform procurement operations activities - Execute procurement operationsactivities within Region or site ensuring a focus on efficiency, compliance, and thequality of customer service
Maintain information flows - Responsible for maintaining strong information flowsback to the Category Management teams in the event of High-value or non-standard requests, opportunities to aggregate demand and generate additional leverage and regular submission of operations data and requirements to develop new strategies
Apply sourcing process - Application of the sourcing process (RfIs, RfQs, RfPs) forthe delivery of sourcing activity, incl. the application of eSourcing tools
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) - Support CSR initiatives related to(candidate) suppliers, e.g. supplier diversity, anti-bribery, animal welfare, etc.
Indirect Leadership - Participating or leading cross-functional projects, taking ownership of process improvements, representing Procurement in local projects or leadership meetings
Who you are
University degree, with business related degree preferable (industrial/technical affinity experience)
10+ years procurement experience with experience in relevant injection molding plastics industry
Strong stakeholder management, good communication skills and demonstrated understanding of translating business requirements into procurement specifications with customer service in mind
Negotiation skills, experience or demonstrated understanding in cost reduction, contract and supplier management
Knowledgeable in systems and processes for efficient management of contractdocumentation, templates and processing tools (e.g. Ariba, SAP, Excel,MS,Gsite)
Business level fluency in English and German
