About the role

The Financial Analyst role is part of the Corporate Controlling Team. This role will support the monthly and quarterly management reporting, EBIT and cash forecasting processes, in addition to responsibilities to act as a finance business partner for Global functions, providing monthly cost reporting updates, analysis, preparation of forecasts as well as supporting Global functions in preparing their Annual Operating Plans.

Key Job Accountabilities

The role reports to Manager, Corporate Controlling and is part of the wider Management Reporting (Group Controlling Planning & Analysis) organization. Primary focus will be management reporting, planning and analysis activities, cost controlling and business partnering support. The role will be based in Zurich and is a full time permanent position.

Accounting, Reporting & Controlling

  • Support monthly and quarterly closings
  • Monthly analysis of actual vs budget, and preparation of the forecast
  • Coordination with Corporate finance team colleagues and shared services related to accruals, prepayments and cross functional charges on a monthly basis

Business Partnering And Reporting

  • Coordinate and consolidate monthly cost center reporting, including accruals processes and Outperformance reporting
  • Finance business partner for selected Global functions, supporting to understand and identify risks, opportunities and actions to lead / influence senior stakeholders to deliver in line or outperform against agreed budgets
  • Supporting Global functions in developing Annual Operating Plans
  • Acting as finance business partner and providing project finance support and oversight for selected Global functions and respective capital or other ongoing projects

Ad hoc Projects

  • Support, initiate and opportunities to play a significant role in ad hoc special projects related to the area of responsibilities (e.g. optimization of monthly management reporting, cost center cost tracking, forecasting etc..)

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Finance, Accounting or similar disciplines
  • Professional accounting qualification considered a plus, ACCA, CIMA, Chartered Accountant, CPA or equivalent
  • Relevant experience in similar roles, cost controlling, business partnering, FP&A roles preferred
  • Experience with ERP, Consolidation financial systems and Power BI tools are desirable
  • Experience working in a large multinational and multicultural environment, with ability to develop, and maintain relationships
  • Ability to work on own initiative and be proactive
  • Strong communication skills are required to effectively communicate with colleagues, and business stakeholders
  • Someone who is curious and with a continuous improvement attitude
