Sales Representative - Robotics

We are a Startup located in the center of Zürich that builds underwater drones. Our field of expertise is the development of highly integrated compact underwater systems tailored to the challenges of turbid waters. Our system tackles the strong water currents and complex environments of the offshore energy industries, Search & Rescue and UXO missions, and more. 

Our technology pushes the boundaries of what is possible beneath the waves. We are on the hunt for talent that can propel our sales by contributing to our team's energy, knowledge, and skill. Join us, as we explore the depths and redefine underwater exploration. 

We are supported by the Wyss Zurich Translational Center (Wyss Zürich), a unique accelerator program, which is embedded into ETH Zürich and University of Zürich and addresses the booming fields of regenerative medicine, robotics, and medical devices/bionic technologies.  

Job description

Starting date: March 2025 or upon agreement.

As a Sales Representative at Tethys Robotics, you are reporting directly to the CEO as part of our business team and work closely with our external partners. You will strategically manage our sales funnel by identifying, acquiring, and managing relationships with customers. Representing Tethys Robotics with a hands-on work ethic at conferences, demonstrations, and customer visits will be an essential part of this role. 

In your role you are responsible for the following tasks: 

  • Manage our sales funnel by identifying and acquiring new customers and closing sales deals 
  • Manage customer relationships and process customer feedback 
  • Represent Tethys Robotics in strategically targeted customer visits, customer conversations online and, predominantly, in person at international conferences, product demonstrations, and strategically targeted customer visits 
  • Contribute to the convincing voice to our target audience by delivering top-notch product knowledge and product demonstrations to our customers 
  • Support the business team with industry insights for Tethys Robotics’ successful positioning among target customers 
  • Compile well-tailored sales decks for a variety of customer types 

Profile

We care about your experience, ability and personality much more than your degrees. 

This Role Requires:

  • 2+ years in sales in one or more of the following industries: Offshore Energy (Wind/Oil/Gas), Hydropower, UXO, Underwater Inspection/Maintenance Services 
  • Existing profound network in Western Europe, Northern Europe/Scandinavia, or the Middle East in one or more of the above listed industries 
  • Joy in and ability to work in and collaborate closely with a small, dynamic, fast-paced startup team 
  • Profound experience in methodologically and structurally managing sales funnels in HubSpot 
  • Strong and persistent closing orientation with a convincing personality and talent for winning people over 
  • Independence and self-initiative 
  • Experience in / affinity for operating technological hardware such as drones or similar 
  • Flexibility and spontaneity for international business travels  
  • Driver's license for business travels by car 
  • Ability and willingness to lift robot equipment 
  • Joy in working in rough weather conditions 
  • Full business proficiency in written and spoken English 

 

Bonus Points if You Bring :

  • Sales experience in robotics 
  • Academic record or apprenticeship with a technical component 
  • Commercial diver and/or motorboat license 
  • Language skills in French, Arabic, Nordic Languages, Chinese, Japanese 
  • A creative approach in “getting the job done”
