Calvin Risk, a Swiss-based start-up from ETH Zurich, is dedicated to helping companies build and manage trustworthy AI that aligns with human values. Our software "Calvin" offers model testing, risk assessment, governance, and compliance support for predictive and generative AI and ML models, primarily targeting the financial services sector. Calvin Risk focuses on banks and insurance companies, extending model validation to include AI-specific considerations. Amongst others this means assessing risks with automated and standardized tests; digitalizing governance policies and assessment questionnaires; evaluating economic impacts, model failure probability and damages; and ensuring AI safety compliance with regulatory standards.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join Calvin Risk as a Sales Executive, based in Zurich, Switzerland. You will play a crucial role in expanding our client base and refining our customer sales journey within the financial sector. As a member of our team, you’ll work closely with product, marketing, and research experts to bring Calvin’s innovative solutions to enterprise clients.

 

Your Mission

Lead Customer Sales Journey:

  • Take ownership of the customer journey, from initial demos to follow-up meetings, ensuring consistent engagement and progress with prospective clients.
  • Identify opportunities to expand engagement, following up diligently to move deals forward.

Client Relationship Building:

  • Build strong relationships with decision-makers, particularly in the insurance and banking sectors.
  • Maintain regular contact providing insights and help to prospects to ensure customer satisfaction and commitment.

Sales Pipeline and Deal Closing:

  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline, actively driving deals through various stages toward closure.
  • Build up an internal track record of successfully closing deals with clients, that lead to sustainable and long-term partnerships.

 

Your Story

Industry Knowledge and Technical Understanding:

  • Experience in GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) software and a solid grasp of related best-practices and regulations.
  • Familiarity with enterprise governance platforms such as OneTrust or ServiceNow is a big plus.
  • Background in consultancy services, ideally with experience in regulatory areas like the EU AI Act and GDPR.

Sales Acumen and Client-Focused Approach:

  • Proven experience in B2B sales with a focus on technical solutions and enterprise-grade software, particularly for regulated industries.
  • Effective communication skills to convey complex ideas, adapt to client needs, and maintain a collaborative tone throughout the sales journey.
  • Ability to anticipate client requirements and customize sales approaches, particularly for high-stakes sectors like insurance and banking.
