Job Description

Purpose of the Mission

Data & AI Product Line is seeking an experienced Microsoft Fabric Solution Architect to join our IT data teams and support the rollout of the Fabric platform. The successful candidate will participate in the design of the Fabric platform and assist the current architect in defining best practices and governance rules.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and provide guidelines for using Microsoft Fabric.
• Document the configuration of various platform components.
• Establish and document best practices for data storage and processing rules, and describe standards.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to team members.
• Share best practices in deploying solutions on the platform using automation processes.

Qualifications

Skills:

• Ideally, experience with MS Fabric or extensive experience with:
• Microsoft Azure Data Factory
• Power BI Cloud
• Azure SQL Data Warehouse
• Azure Data Lake
• Purview
• Knowledge of data visualization best practices with PowerBI.
• Experience with Data Stewardship and Governance methodologies.
• Proficiency in Security and Access Management for Azure Cloud platform.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
• Understanding of advanced analytics and machine learning concepts.

Competencies and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer or a similar certification.
• Certifications: Azure DP-600 and DP-203.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in French is an asset.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Mindset focused on security by design and by default.
