As part of Leonardo, Kopter currently develops the AW09, a next generation single-engine helicopter that offers the largest cabin and cargo hold in its category, increased modularity and modern electronic systems. The AW09 delivers latest safety standards as well as more performance and comfort at low operating costs.

Kopter is set to become Leonardo’s Centre of Excellence for new light helicopters and an incubator of new technologies, contributing to the development of hybrid and electrical propulsion systems. Kopter’s 320 talented team members are primarily based in Switzerland, near Zurich and in Mollis (Canton of Glarus).

Your responsibilities

►Assist the development and certification of helicopter systems such as air conditioning, heating, ventilation, etc.

►Assist the definition and demonstration of compliance to system and certification requirements

►Liaise with other engineering teams (Stress & Fatigue, Airworthiness, ILS, Structure, Electrical Systems, Safety, etc.) in regards to system interfaces and system integration into the helicopter

►Assist in coordinating efforts of design engineers assigned to the system, ensuring that the design of parts and assemblies meets the applicable technical, functional, and regulatory requirements

►Witness and report systems ground tests

Your qualifications, experience

►Recently obtained Bachelor or Master’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering

►CAD knowledge

►Proactive with good teamwork skills

►Solution-oriented

►English minimum B2, verbal and written
