We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Financial Controller to join our finance team. As a Junior Financial Controller, you will contribute to the accuracy of financial data, streamline processes through automation, and support project financial management. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop you career in a dynamic and supportive environment.
This is a part-time position, 20 hours per week.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Project Controlling: Support the project controller with project performance analysis, variance analysis, and reporting. Monitor project costs and identify potential risks.
- Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret large sets of financial data to provide insights that support decision-making processes.
- Financial Model Automation: Develop and maintain automated financial models and reports to enhance efficiency and reduce manual tasks using tools such as Excel, VBA.
- Forecasting: Assist in financial forecasting processes, including gathering input from various departments and integrating data into coherent models.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist in implementing streamlined financial processes documentation and best practices.
- Ad Hoc Analysis and Support: Provide support on special projects and ad hoc analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- Previous experience in finance, accounting, or a related role is preferable but not mandatory (internship experience will also be considered).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel / data modelling (eg VBA and macros).
- Experience with an ERP appreciated.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail, accuracy, and ability to make models out of complex data sets.
- Collaborative attitude, eager to learn, and willing to support other team members when needed.
- Fluency in English is mandatory (spoken and written)
