What You'll Be Doing
The Material Handler, Prep Crew, contributes to our mission of saving and sustaining lives by transporting, visually inspecting, and packing IV therapies, premixed drugs, renal therapies and other sterile solutions into cartons for distribution.
- Clean, sanitize, assemble and prepare for use filtration equipment, piping and filling equipment.
- Perform integrity checks on filtration equipment.
- Program parameters, monitor and troubleshoot filling equipment and adjust parameters if necessary.
- Document test results and other required information.
- Carry out scheduled cleaning activities on equipment and surrounding areas such as floors, ceilings and walls.
- Perform maintenance on pumps and other filling equipment.
- Transport cleaning agents, supplies and equipment as necessary.
- Pre-Op and change out batteries on the powered industrial truck (if required).
- Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur.
- Learn, understand and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
- Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles.
What You'll Bring
- High School Diploma or GED and must be at least 18 years of age.
- One year of manufacturing experience preferred.
- Must be a level 4 or higher, Bi-weekly or currently an alternate for a level 4 or higher and held that position for at least six months.
- Possess or be able to obtain Powered Industrial Vehicle (P.I.V.) Certification.
- Basic English written and oral communication skills adequate to communicate with other team members.
- Detail oriented, have good critical thinking and problem-solving skills, good communication skills and be able to multitask.
- Understand verbal and written safety and quality instructions and read and comprehend written work instructions including words and drawings.
- Ability to perform basic mathematics.
- Basic computer skills.
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 40 pounds at a height up to 60 inches occasionally throughout the shift.
- Carry up to 40 pounds at a distance of up to 25 feet occasionally throughout the shift.
- Push and pull up to 15 pounds at a distance of up to 200 feet occasionally throughout the shift.
- Normal visual acuity and the ability to distinguish color are necessary.
- Pass the Powered Industrial Vehicle (P.I.V.) physical.
- Must be able to it, stand, walk, climb stairs, climb ladders, reach forward, reach overhead, balance, stoop, crouch, kneel, and/or crawl.
- Must be able to handle objects and operate controls using fine/simple/firm grasping and fingering.
