PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The purpose of this role is to enhance the global finance systems and operation via leading the implementation of Global Finance Projects. While focusing on the connection of SAP Central Finance with source systems and other financial tools like Anaplan. The role revolves around driving the harmonization and optimization of financial processes. The role is based in Basel and will report directly to the Global Finance Systems Head.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Global Project Implementation & SAP Integration
- Leads the execution of multiple global finance projects with a particular focus on connecting SAP Central Finance with source systems and other finance tools such as Anaplan
- Oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of these tasks to ensure seamless connections and operational efficiency
- Supports the ERP migrations
- Ensures smooth transitions and minimal disrupts to ongoing financial operations
- Collaborates with cross- functional teams (i.e., Country and Regional Finance, Global Controlling, Global Consolidation, Global Accounting, and Global IT)
- Addresses technical challenges
- Provides strategic inputs to optimize the migration process
Process Optimization & Documentation Management
- Ensures the accurate management of all project documentation and procedures
- Maintains high standards of organization
- Plays a key role in harmonizing and optimizing finance-related processes across the organization
- Drive efficient improvements while aligning operations with global best practices
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s degree in IT Systems, Finance or Accounting
- More than 5 years’ experience in finance project management
- Strong leadership, analytical and communication skills
- Good knowledge of accounting and reporting processes
- Experience with SAP (including Central Finance and Group Reporting), Anaplan and other major ERP systems (Oracle, Navision)
- Ability to manage complex projects while liaising with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to meet demanding deadlines
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (incl. MS Project)
- Requires fluency in English language (written and spoken)
