IATA Settlement Systems (ISS) are the backbone of the global air transport industry. They enable the swift, reliable, and efficient movement of funds between airlines and their travel partners.

IATA’s executive office in Geneva operates over 50 offices and 7 regional offices across the world.

The Director Corporate Treasury oversees Foreign Exchange (FX) risks, maintains controls over banking and bank relationships, liquidity and cash management and acts with his/her team as in-house banking experts.

The Treasury team also works with the IATA Settlement Systems (ISS) banking services team by providing strategic support and direction.

This role reports to the IATA CFO, SVP Corporate Services and have people management responsibility.

The

role of Director Corporate Treasury is evolving,

driven by technological advancements, and changing business needs.

The Director Corporate Treasury will develop a fit for purpose treasury strategy and operations, collaborating and aligning with other departments (corporate services and business).

He/She will be in charge of the following activities:

Financial Oversight: Overseeing cash flow, investment strategies, and working capital optimization.

Risk Management: Developing hedging strategies to mitigate financial risks related to currency and interest rates.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.

Banking Relationship: Maintaining strong partnerships with banks and financial service providers. Represent the company externally with bankers and other significant stakeholders.

Overseeing and controlling the IATA Settlement Systems (ISS) Banking Services activities including the provision of advice and support to the Financial settlement and Distribution Services (FSDS) team, in negotiating new banking contracts and renewals.

Acting as an in-house treasury consultant to other IATA functions and provide guidance and oversight in liquidity and counter party risk management while monitoring market conditions, industry trends and standards.

Ensuring the new ERP encompasses a fit for purpose, efficient and secure treasury management system.

10 years of experience in a senior-level treasury role, in an international corporation,

Strong knowledge of international banking systems, investment, cash management and relevant IFRS,

Strong banking RFP and contract negotiation experience,

An ability to act as a strategic partner to the business and steer the Treasury and Banking strategy,

An ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders,

A strong analytical mindset, exhibiting intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm, comfortable working with data, able to develop relevant analysis and driven to tangible outcomes,

Fluent in English.
