Presentation
To complete the team, the Faculty of social and political sciences is looking for a First assistant (post-doc) in the Statistics in Psychology team.
The team “Statistics in Psychology”, led by Prof. Audrey Bürki, conducts research on the cognitive and electrophysiological processes underlying language production and learning, on the links between language processes and other cognitive functions, as well as on their evolution throughout life. The team is particularly interested in the methodological and statistical tools used in these domains.

Contract length : 1 year, renewable 2 x 2 years, maximum 5 years
Activity rate : 100%
Workplace : Lausanne Dorigny
Your responsibilities
In your activities, you will have to :
- At least 50% of the workload will be dedicated to personal research: personal research project and scientific dissemination (articles, presentations at conferences).
- A maximum of 50% of the workload will be devoted to supporting teaching and research tasks related to the team's teaching and research activities (research in collaboration with the P.I., supervising students' master theses, assisting in grading exams, co-teaching and organizing seminars, collaborating on team research projects, participating in administrative and organizational tasks).

Your qualifications
In order to complete our team, we are looking for someone with the following skills :
- A PhD in cognitive psychology or equivalent
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
- Good knowledge of French
- Good knowledge of statistics applied to experimental data
- Programming skills (Python, R, or Matlab)
- Experience (attested by publications) in research activities in cognitive psychology / psycholinguistics / methodology
- Interest in research in cognitive psychology, psycholinguistics, or experimental methods
