Are you a curious learner and passionate about people and processes? We seek a committed Supply Chain Professional to help assure supply of Takeda products for the Swiss market. Reliable execution of processes + continuous improvement mindset incl. automation projects are key to succeed in our 2 people supply team within 90 people local entity. The co-location with global supply headquarter and regional hub help assure both hands-on and inspiring work.

We are currently hiring for a Supply Chain Manager (all genders) in full-time on a permanent contract for our Swiss local office in Glattpark (Opfikon).

ROLE OBJECTIVE

  • Ensure continuity, reliability, and agility for the Supply of Takeda's pharmaceutical products for the Swiss market - achieved through collaboration with commercial teams, process excellence, and continuous improvements: aiming for full stock availability while minimizing scrap.
  • Collaborate with supply planners of broad product portfolio to optimize inventory levels in the Swiss warehouse and European distribution centers.
  • Support new product launches for the Swiss market (incl. material master data, transfer prices, SAP configuration) and cross-functional cooperation to assure availability of new products on time in right quantities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive system and process improvements helping to reduce cost, save time, and increase Supply Chain performance
  • Continuous learning on the power of data and digital: leverage benefit of tools like Power Automate, Power BI, Alteryx; understand potential of AI solutions

RESPONSIBILITIES

Product availability / demand / operations

  • Forecasting demand for products based on commercial inputs, historical data, market trends, and other relevant factors (through effective use of SAP, IBP and Excel tools)
  • Managing master data in order to ensure correctness of all relevant Supply Chain related transactions
  • Driving new product launches from Supply Chain perspective
  • Coordinating timely replenishments with logistic, supply and quality teams to make sure that products arrive in good conditions, are released and ready for sales on time
  • Work with global and regional supply chain related functions to ensure uninterrupted supply of products to always fulfil customers’ demand
  • Closely collaborating with local teams (CS, OM, FI, QA, RA) to minimize supply risks

Inventory management

  • Monitoring and management of local inventory coverage to ensure optimal stock levels (including stock freshness, reconciliation, etc.) in cooperation with local teams and logistic partners
  • Risk Management: Identifying potential risks such as stock shortages or overstock situations and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Reporting: Generating reports on inventory levels vs sales, stock movements, and key performance indicators to support decision-making processes

Process and continuous improvement

  • Utilizing SAP, excel, digital tools and technologies to identify areas of improvement and to optimize supply chain operations, increase efficiency, and reduce costs
  • Collecting and interpreting data, analyzing results to report findings to internal or external stakeholders
  • Identifying opportunities to automate processes and improve effectiveness of Supply Chain department


 

SKILLS and COMPETENCIES

  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: Striving for process improvements, cost reductions, and efficiency gains in the supply chain
  • Excellent technical skills and Supply Chain Software Proficiency
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI): Ability to leverage AI and machine learning algorithms to demand forecasting and process automation
  • Digital Supply Chain Modelling: Proficiency in using digital modelling tools to simulate different scenarios, optimize supply chain networks, and improve decision-making.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Addressing also new issues that arise in the supply chain and finding efficient solutions to keep operations running smoothly
  • Structured way of working, proactivity and agility
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and support decisions to optimize the supply chain processes
  • Project Management Skills: Managing multiple projects simultaneously, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines
  • Inventory Optimization Tools: Knowledge of inventory optimization tools and techniques to maintain optimal inventory levels, reduce carrying costs, and prevent stock outs
  • An ability to handle many tasks in parallel

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in operations, planning, supply chain (Demand planning, Supply planning, Inventory and Operations Planning)
  • BA degree in the Supply Chain field, computer science, logistics, Business, or production management
  • Experience working with digital strategy, with digital transformation, ERP Systems and advanced planning tools
  • Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Power BI or similar applications, a plus
  • High proficiency in English. Additional local languages, particularly German, are a plus.
