Learning and Talent Development Specialist

We are seeking a dynamic Talent Development Specialist with a focus on program coordination, external vendor management, content curation, workshop facilitation, and digital learning design. The ideal candidate will support our learning and talent development initiatives by ensuring excellence in execution of the talent development programmes and supporting with enhancing our development offers through creating engaging content, learning journeys, facilitating impactful workshops, and designing innovative digital learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaboration, External Vendor Management, and Financial Oversight:

  • Work closely with the Talent Development Team to align learning initiatives with organizational objectives.
  • Partner with P&C partners to identify business needs and develop tailored learning solutions.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and consultants to deliver specialized training programs, ensuring quality and alignment with organizational standards.
  • Coordinate vendor selection processes, negotiate contracts, and oversee budget allocations for training programs.
  • Monitor vendor performance, manage invoicing and payments, and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Project Coordination and Operations:

  • Work closely with the Talent Development team to coordinate new and existing learning and talent development programmes  from initiation to completion.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively address issues to ensure successful programme outcomes.
  • Support with providing regular updates and reports on project status, milestones, budget utilization, and outcomes to senior leadership.

Content Curation:

  • Research and curate high-quality learning content for individual, team and people manager development.
  • Develop and maintain a library of learning resources tailored to the needs of Forum staff.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content relevance and accuracy where needed.
  • Update and refresh learning materials regularly in alignment with the organizational priorities.

Workshop Facilitation:

  • Design and facilitate engaging workshops and training sessions (including team retreats, onboarding events, and career and skill development workshops)
  • Utilize adult learning principles and interactive methods.
  • Assess participant feedback and continuously improve workshop content and delivery methods.
  • Coordinate logistics for in-person and virtual workshops.

Digital Learning Design:

  • Design and develop innovative digital learning experiences, including e-learning modules, videos, and interactive content to enhance in house learning offers.
  • Use instructional design principles and multimedia tools.
  • Implement and manage digital learning platforms and tools.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of digital learning programs and make improvements based on feedback and analytics.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in talent development and digital learning.
  • Conduct needs assessments and analyze data to identify opportunities for learning and development.
  • Implement innovative solutions and strategies to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of learning programs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Instructional Design, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in talent development, content curation, workshop facilitation, and digital learning design.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Proficiency in digital learning tools and platforms (e.g., Learning Management Systems, e-learning authoring tools).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
  • Experience in coordination and implementation of talent related projects (career development, learning)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in instructional design or related fields.
  • Experience with video production and multimedia content creation.
  • Familiarity with data analytics and evaluation methods for learning programs.
  • Knowledge of learning experience platforms (LXP) and modern learning technologies.
  • Experience with 360 and other behavioural / strengths assessment tools
