In this role, you will be the contact person for our employees, management, and authorities on all topics related to occupational safety, health, and environmental protection. You will actively promote and drive occupational safety and sustainability standards at CH sites. Additionally, you will provide support in close cooperation and alignment with all departments on site, especially Production and Engineering.

Major accountabilities: 

  • Ensuring compliance concerning EHS, process safety, occupational health & safety, occupational hygiene, ergonomics, environmental protection, and corporate social responsibility incl. compliance to local laws
  • Issuing and updating and local official documents, i.e. SOPs, directives, and policies as well as generation and execution of EHS concepts
  • Performing investigations related to EHS incidents at local level
  • Conduction and coordination of EHS Training session at Site, in cooperation with the local departments to ensure / increase safety, health and environmental
  • Monitoring of EHS KPI’s at site such as number of incidents, occp. Hygiene, etc.
  • Conducting of risk assessments and related evaluation of data
  • Takes on tasks in the area of dangerous goods in all modes of transport ensuring compliance concerning Fire Protection on all Buildings on Site

Who you are? 

  • Degree as Safety Advisor ASGS/EKAS or Safety Engineer
  • Several years of experiences in an industrial environment, preferred in chemical or pharmaceutical company.
  • Comprehensive understanding of swiss environmental, health and safety legislation
  • Ability to work in a team & communicate efficiently in front of people
  • Training in the area of dangerous goods ADR/RID, IMDG, IATA
  • Excellent german and English skills both verbal and written
