We are actively searching for a Microbiologist to join our team of wonderful people based in our Castlebar, Co. Mayo site.
You will get the opportunity to work closely with multiple teams including, Chemistry, Validation, Production, Engineering and other support functions.
What our Microbiologists do:
- Bioburden and Endotoxin testing of water systems
- Testing of finished medical device and pharmaceutical products including, Bioburden, Sterility, Endotoxin, Particulate Matter
- Microbial Identification of isolates
- Environmental monitoring of classified production cleanrooms
- Laboratory investigations and exceptions
- Represent the Microbiology Laboratory at internal/ external audits
- Participate in LEAN Process Improvement Projects/ Validations/ Risk Assessments
- Comply and maintain GMP/EP/USP/ ISO regulations through established programmes
- Validation of Test Methods
We are looking for someone that has:
- 3rd Level Qualification in Microbiology or relevant Science qualification with emphasis on Biological Sciences
- Ideally experience in a Microbiology Laboratory environment
- The ability to work in a fast paced and high- volume Microbiology role
- Ideally experience working in a highly regulated industry
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability for critical thinking and problem solving
- The ability to communicate and work with all manner of team members, in a conscientious and inclusive way.
