As the Associate Director of Global Insights and Demand Forecast, you will be empowered to drive analytics of demand dynamics, forecast development and communication of insights with high organizational visibility in the Plasma Derived Therapeutics (PDT) business unit.
POSITION OBJECTIVES:
• Manage the development of demand forecasts for PDT products maintaining rigor, structure, and discipline in the process, across the portfolio
• Lead insight generation of global plasma industry demand dynamics, with a special focus on disruptive entrants (quantitative uptake forecasting)
• Leverage knowledge of a broad range of forecasting approaches, Plasma industry knowledge (a “plus,” but not a requirement), competitive intelligence and understanding of BU strategy to develop new scenarios/hypotheses based on market dynamics and craft insights to engage cross functional teams.
• Manage all aspects of demand forecast creation including analytics, project planning, meeting management, and presentation of analysis.
• Contribute within the forecasting function by implementing novel forecast approaches and leading the adoption of techniques.
• Lead workstreams in planning and execution of operational processes (e.g., annual planning, mid-year forecasts/updates, mid-range, and long-range planning etc.). May manage employees, contractors, or suppliers as needs dictate.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Annual Global Demand Study / Market Sizing Forecast updates in line with annual focus; ensure rollout of these forecasts into the organization (e.g., Brand Plan, LRF planning, etc. in collaboration with relevant partners such as Regions)
• Lead cross-functional teams in the review of demand forecast, epidemiology and its growth assumptions with key stakeholders including Regions, Medical teams, and Global Portfolio Strategy team to reflect latest consumption trend and impact on growth trajectory
• Leverage cross-functional expertise to quantitatively assess disruptor impact by class to provide guidance on expected disruptor performance to the organization
• Serve as an SME on data and systems pertaining to sales performance (e.g., IQVIA or similar) and flexible business partner to the organization for related analytics as per annual objectives or ad hoc projects in alignment with PDT LT and/or FSO leadership
• Independently structure analytical projects in response to planned or ad hoc requests, prepare and deliver presentations with meaningful forecast implications, actionable insights, and recommendations to senior executive leadership. Clearly articulates pros and cons of different options to facilitate strategic decision making.
• Be a subject matter expert in forecasting with deep expertise in applying right techniques and approaches to problem solving
• Be familiar with regulatory process governing the pharmaceutical industry in US and key ex-US markets and have a basic understanding of trial design and outcomes to facilitate analytics
• Lead workstreams expanding our understanding of Plasma business including current and future market trends and add significant insights into future market direction.
• Ensure close and continuous alignment with CI teams focusing on competitive pipeline developments.
EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
• BA or BS in an analytical field such as economics, management science, industrial engineering, math, etc. and at least 5 years business analytical or forecasting experience
• 10+ years pharmaceutical/strategy analytics experience
• Solid understanding of P&Ls, general accounting principles etc. required
• Complete understanding and application of quantitative principles, concepts, practices, and standards surrounding the use and manipulation of primary and secondary market data sources.
• Extensive knowledge of forecasting principles, practices, and tools.
• Extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical industry practices.
• Project planning and management skills.
• Advanced Excel modeling skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Basic people and team management skills including measuring and delivering performance feedback.
• Resource Management: ability to manage internal and external resources (people, information, technologies, time, and capital); allocates resources appropriately, given organization, group and individual goals and objectives to align with business goals.
• Proficient in MS Office
• MBA and/or management, strategy or pharma consulting experience is a significant advantage for this application
This position can in special circumstances be remote yet ideally is based in our Cambridge, MA, Bannockburn, IL or Zurich, Switzerland locations
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
• Willingness to travel to various meetings and conferences, including overnight trips. Some international travel may be required.

U.S. Base Salary Range:
149,100.00 - 234,300.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
