LINE MANAGER: Director of Accounting & Finance Operations

MSC Cruises, the world’s third largest and most rapidly growing cruise line brand is expanding its Accounting & Finance team in the USA. Reporting to the Director of Accounting & Finance Operations, the Financial Operations Specialist will be responsible for all accounting/finance related tasks ensuring books are accurate and the monthly closing is done in a timely manner. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of accounting concepts to ensure accurate reporting and financial management. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days/week in the office and offering excellent benefits.

Full-cycle accounting and assisting with the month-end close process

Prepare GL entries by maintaining records and files

Reconcile various GL Accounts including schedule preparation and analysis

Assist leadership in the preparation and management of annual budgets and financial forecasts

Track and update forecasts based on new business assumptions and operational changes

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management

Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data in all reports

Assist in internal and external audit processes by providing required financial data and reports

Support business partners and departments with financial data and analysis for new initiatives, projects, or investments

Work on reconciliation process between various systems within the organization

Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses, tasks/projects as requested by management

Fluent English, Spanish is a plus

Background in Accounting or Finance, with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in Accounting or Finance

SAP experience

Proficient IT skills, including MS Office and strong MS Excel skills (exposure to vlookup, pivot tables, etc.)

Ability to work flexibly to the needs of the business and under pressure

Self-starter with a high energy attitude and great sense of urgency

Extremely organized and detail oriented

Strong communication skills, oral and written communication needed including with Global partners

Able to work in the MSC Miami Terminal in the Port of Miami 3 days/week
