Senior CAPEX Project Manager (f/m/d)

Our engineering department is a close-knit team of more than 30 employees that covers all engineering aspects in-house. We operate like a family, supporting each other, and are composed of regional and international specialists. Our team communicates in both German and English. The Sr. Manager CAPEX Projects will manage the planning, coordination, and execution of large and complex pharmaceutical CAPEX projects, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives. The role involves managing the CAPEX budget, allocating resources, and ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. This role will also contribute to the continuous development of the site master plan, drive the implementation of new technologies, and improve project management processes.

What you can expect

  • CAPEX Coordination: Lead CAPEX budgeting, process improvements, stakeholder management, and business justifications
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with CAPEX projects to avoid delays, budget overruns, or operational disruptions
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Ensure alignment with key external stakeholders, including government agencies, regulatory bodies, and financial partners
  • Engineering Project Execution: Ensure the timely planning and execution of all engineering projects in line with agreed plans, budgets, and timelines
  • Sustainability and Environmental Responsibility: Drive the implementation of sustainable engineering solutions in CAPEX projects, focusing on reducing the environmental impact and promoting green technologies
  • Change Management: Ensure the smooth implementation of changes resulting from CAPEX projects, including communication plans, staff training, and post-implementation reviews to assess impact and performance
  • Training and Development: Develop the skills and capabilities of the internal project management team, including training in project management, financial planning, and regulatory compliance
  • Long-term Strategic Planning: Contribute to developing the long-term capital investment strategy, ensuring that CAPEX projects align with the company's evolving business objectives, market trends, and future growth

Your skills and qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor or Master degree in engineering, Project Management, or a related field
  • Professional Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience managing CAPEX projects within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in project management tools, financial forecasting, and resource planning. Familiarity with GMP and EHS standards
  • Language Skills: Fluency in German and English
  • Leadership Attributes: Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders in a high-pressure environment
  • Sustainability and Environmental Awareness: Knowledge and commitment to applying sustainable engineering solutions
