Assistant F&B Maître d'hôtel

We are looking for a professional with a passion for the hospitality industry, with experience in 4 and 5-star Hotels, capable of combining operational excellence with strategic leadership.

 

CONTRACT: CDD à 100 % pour la saison, avec une possibilité d'évolution vers un CDI.

 

MISSIONS:

Non-exhaustive list of activities & tasks

 

  • Be an ambassador for the Hotel and its F&B departments, including the gourmet Restaurant Chez Meyer’s, Jack’s Brasserie, the Breakfast, the Sushi bar and the banquets.
  • Manage the F&B operations with the team in the absence of the Manager, guaranteeing F&B service operations are up to Relais & Châteaux standards.
  • Comfortable with all types of service: à la carte, banquet, gueridon service, buffet, and others.
  • Welcoming and serving customers, anticipating their needs.
  • Managing cash operations and ability to achieve sales targets (upselling and others).
  • Ensure that the restaurants service runs smoothly, from order taking to customer departure.
  • Assisting in the management of beverage supplies, ensuring optimum stock levels are maintained in line with hotel occupancy forecasts.
  • Ensuring closing and opening procedures of the F&B outlets are in compliance with hygiene, safety and quality standards.
  • Playing an active role in coordinating banquet in collaboration with the Chef, helping to develop menus tailored to customer preferences while ensuring effective cost management.
  • Knowledge of food and wine pairing.
  • Holder of a qualification (CFC or equivalent) and with at least 2 years of experience in a similar position.

 

PREREQUISITES:

  • Language skills German, plus French or English.
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate with other departments of the hotel. 
  • Must have a real interest in their profession: motivation, involvement, and energy. 
  • Versatility and flexibility. 
  • Excellent presentation and team spirit.
