About FAAS:

Our Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) practice in Switzerland is experiencing significant growth. To support this expansion, our Finance Optimization team is seeking highly qualified (Senior) Managers to join us in Basel or Zurich.

Role Overview:

As a (Senior) Manager in our Finance Optimization team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our clients with various topics on the CFO Agenda. Primary focus is on driving the digitalization of finance processes, working collaboratively in teams that combine accounting expertise with IT and process competencies.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Lead complex digital finance transformation projects, including ERP/EPM projects for medium-sized clients, automations, and data analytics projects
  • Improve Finance business processes and functions, leveraging technical accounting and digital expertise
  • Oversee multiple engagements and stakeholders, ensuring client expectations are exceeded, budgets are managed effectively, and risks are mitigated.
  • Drive the team's business development efforts by identifying opportunities, building networks, creating proposals, and representing EY at professional events
  • Deliver clear and impactful presentations to internal and external audiences, effectively showcasing expertise and capabilities
  • Lead and mentor a matrix team of onshore and offshore consultants, providing coaching and development opportunities to foster growth and success.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge on emerging finance technologies and digital finance tools

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, IT, or equivalent
  • 5-10 years of experience leading digital finance transformation projects, including ERP (e.g., SAP S/4HANA) and/or EPM (e.g., Tagetik) solutions implementations, robotic process automation, advanced data analytics, etc.
  • Strong understanding of various transactional accounting and finance processes, such as FP&A, R2R, O2C, P2P, etc.
  • Demonstrated success in team leadership, including coaching, mentoring, and developing a team of (senior) consultants
  • Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and stakeholders, exceeding client expectations, handling budgets, and mitigating risks effectively
  • Significant experience in driving business development initiatives, building internal and external networks, identifying opportunities, responding to request-for-proposals and presenting at professional events
  • Fluency in both English and German

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, IT or equivalent and/or MBA
  • Relevant professional finance qualitification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CFA, etc.)
  • Relevant project management and/or process improvement certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Relevant technical business analyst and/or implementation manager certifications (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Anaplan, Tagetik, UiPath, etc.)
  • Any other European language skills
