Responsibility meets precision - your tasks are a plus for you and us
- Perform feasibility studies consisting in system design, evaluation of lighting configuration and camera systems, image acquisition and processing in our state-of-the-art R&D laboratory
- Develop machine vision solutions and optimize existing systems, including assessments of technical constraints and implementation of joint solutions with our suppliers to boost WILCO performance in visual inspection
- Design algorithms in the configurable image processing software and translate them into AVI recipes for the final machine
- Test hardware and software components and ensure their functionality
Integrate the final system into our highly customized inspection machines AVI-based or combining multiple technologies - Integrate the final system into our highly customized inspection machines AVI-based or combining multiple technologies
- Write technical reports on the results of feasibility studies and discuss them with our customers
- Conduct training for customers and colleagues
- Collaborate in interdisciplinary project teams within WILCO, with our customers as well as with our strategic AVI partners (software/hardware)
Your professional profile that will open up new horizons for you with us
- Successfully completed studies in either mechanical engineering, physics, computer science, photonics, optical engineering, electrical engineering, computer/machine vision, industrial image processing or equivalent qualification
- Excellent knowledge of image processing systems and optical system design (camera systems, lighting systems)
- Experience in programming algorithms for image processing
- Ideally experience in similar position and in integration of machine vision systems
- Project-related willingness to travel (10-20%)
- Ideally understanding of inspection processes in the pharmaceutical industry and of the overall structure of inspection machines
- Good knowledge of German and very good knowledge of English (at least level B2)
- Proactive and innovative personality, capable of thinking out-of-the-box
- Excellent communication skills within interdisciplinary environments
- Very independent, responsible, and systematic way of working
