Job Mission and Impact

The 360 Labs Initiative is seeking a Platform Data Engineer. You will have a strong background in life sciences and data engineering, specifically in the domain of building and integrating with data APIs as part of a larger data landscape. You will be the central engineer tasked with implementing key components of the 360 Labs data strategy. You will operate as a part of a matrix team and serve as a key thought and implementation partner to the Data Management Matrix Lead in the 360 Labs, collaborating closely with each of the 360 Labs Technology Platforms, as well as key stakeholders from our Therapeutic Areas and Global Functions to build and maintain a solid data foundation upon which all of 360 Labs will operate.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • You serve as a key contributor to the 360 Labs Initiative, delivering tools to orchestrate the scientific request lifecycle across 360 Labs, focussing on organizing disparate APIs and data into a coherent data flow.

  • You will own the 360 Labs internal data model as well as taking responsibility for the logic around metadata validation and mapping to various partner systems (eg. LIMS, queuing systems, web front ends). Experience with spatial data modalities is a strong plus.

  • You promote a healthy engineering culture in 360 Labs, ensuring a progressive approach to software and data engineering, including a preference for “Everything as Code”, SCM, CI/CD, and systematic testing strategies.

Your Profile

  • You have a MS degree in Computer Science with at least 10 years of combined professional experience in software & data engineering, a significant portion of which should be in early drug discovery & development environments within the pharmaceutical industry, including a track record of delivering well engineered solutions.
