Position:

As a senior operational risk manager today, you are seasoned in a generalist role and capable of helping to lead a busy team, of 4, whilst remaining hands-on. Your operational risk experience should be broad to include also BCM, governance and operational resilience but not limited to. At the Director level you are seeking to contribute to the Bank's implementation of the Operational Resilience and provide support to the existing Operational Risk Team. In addition, you will organize and present an operational risk committee and sit on various risk or operational committees, as a member or as a guest.

Tasks to include, but by no means limited to:

  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of an operational resilience framework
  • Supporting BCM-related tasks in the context of internal reporting as well as internal and external audits
  • Active participation on the Bank's Operational Risk Framework including performance of test of controls and management of new project and topics
  • Identify the critical functions with their disruption tolerance
  • Establish a testing framework to regularly review the ability to perform critical functions at times of operational disruption with their interruption tolerances
  • Keep record of key controls and operational risks related to critical functions

Profile:

  • University degree in Finance or Economics preferred, or equivalent
  • At least 5 years+ of practical experience in the field of Operational Risk, Business Continuity Management or Audit
  • Swiss private banking experience a must in order to be fully up to date on Swiss banking regulations as regards risk (FINMA circulars etc); or Big 4 banking experience as regards risk, governance and control
  • Strong analytics, risk and performance management skills - especially on non-financial risk elements
  • Ability to weight problems and set priorities with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work with various stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Keen to take responsibility, with the capability to work independently, whilst being part of a larger team across Switzerland
  • A pragmatic person who is hands-on and who can "get things done"
  • Fluent English
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills; Avaloq a plus but not a must
  • Happy to be in an office-based role (no remote working) at 100%
  • Already resident in the Geneva; frontalier OK
