We are seeking a talented and experienced Outbound Logistics employee to join our team for a 12-month contract. You are responsible for the organization of transports on all modes to customers and replenishment deliveries to our own branches abroad. You must ensure the correct documentation for these Shipments and collaborate with different Stakeholder to ensure seamless communication. Additionally, you will have to take care of some after sales activities (e.g., returns).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organization and planning of transports on all modes of transport to customers as well as replenishment deliveries to our own branches abroad
  • Organization and planning of our daily rail shuttle for pre-carriage in Switzerland
  • Clarification of transit times and container bookings directly with the shipping company or via the nominated freight forwarder
  • Creation of outbound deliveries and subsequent batch allocation in SAP
  • Preparation and scheduling of delivery bills for export
  • Preparation and dispatch of transport documents including dangerous goods documentation
  • Transport processing for customer returns in cooperation with the Customer Service team.
  • Maintaining complete documentation
  • Monitoring shipping deadlines
  • Transferring and recording freight costs
  • Price inquiries for spot transportation from service
  • Comply with all Regulatory/EHS/GMP/GDP/Security compliance procedures
  • Perform all work in a safe manner in accordance with internal quality and COSHH regulations, and that EHS initiatives are supported. Work, and encourage others to work, in a safe manner at all times
  • Support Logistics Audit and logistics projects as per needs

Key Requirements:

  • BA / BS degree in Supply Chain / Logistics preferred
  • Business fluent German and English
  • Min. 2+ years working experience in logistics/supply chain
  • Detail oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to interface with various levels of management. 
  • Good understanding of global chemical industry logistics
  • Hands on mentality
