The International Seed Testing Association (ISTA), with headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland, has a vacancy for the position of an Accreditation Department Administrative activities Co-worker. The position is of unlimited duration from1 October 2023 for 20 % weekly pensum. From December 2023 – April 2024 - a weekly pensum of 60 % would be required. ISTA is a non-profit Association under Swiss law. It produces internationally agreed rules for seed sampling and testing, accredits laboratories, promotes research, and disseminates knowledge in seed science and technology. Its membership currently consists of laboratories, personal members and associate members from 81 countries around the world. The successful candidate will be responsible for administration of issues for our Accreditation and Technical Department. The following requirements are essential for success in this role: Experience: 1-2 years in administration activities. Education: KV Lehre or similar. Job Requirements: The successful candidate must be able to perform effectively in each of these areas: Perform admin activities of all kinds related to the work of ISTA’s Accreditation and Technical Department Shipment of ISTA Certificates Supporting the eCertificates programme Only during December 2023 – April 2024: Assist with travel arrangement and visa procurement Assist in the Secretariat Quality Assurance program Be an active participant in various ISTA Secretariat activities and programs as may be required, including Publications, Marketing, Technical Committees support and communication and team activities Personal Requirements: Professional computer skills in MS office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) Fluent in English, German (both oral and written skills) Additional second foreign language skills are a plus, but not required Ability to communicate and work with people belonging to many different cultures Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally Ability to cooperate – team player To Apply: Please send your cover letter, resume, and the names and contact information of references in English.
