We are looking for a motivated Junior Trader for our subsidiary Minka SCS AG (Minka), headquartered in Winterthur, Switzerland. Minka specializes in the sustainable sourcing and delivery of cocoa beans from several origins and continents and counts the vast majority of the cocoa processing industry and chocolatiers to its client base. This is a unique opportunity to start a career in trading.

In this varied role, you will be responsible for various commercial activities, including trade support on purchase and sales side, trade execution and logistics, price fixation and hedging on the future exchanges, market analysis and establishing reports and intelligence for internal and external stakeholders. The position envisions the candidate to eventually go abroad to one of the subsidiaries at origin for some months.

Starting date: as soon as possible, upon mutual agreement.

Profile Requirements

• Around 2-3 years of relevant work experience. Ideally with exposure to logistics, shipping or in the commodity trade
• Analytical skills, ability to juggle numbers and figures.
• Enjoys being in touch with people around the world. Frequent conversations on the phone are not an issue, but rather enjoyed
• Proficiency in German and English is a must (spoken and written). French and/or Spanish are frequently used in daily activities and are considered a plus.
• Proficient in using MS Office, in particular Excel, and Sharepoint / Teams
• At least a bachelor degree in economics/finance, agricultural, engineering or similar.
• Entrepreneurial attitude. Curious and eager to learn
• Readiness and flexibility for travels
