Your role
- Supporting innovative research and consulting projects as well as leading sub-project with academic and industry partners using quantitative methods
- Collaborating in enhancing the pipeline of third-party funding (e.g. grants and endowments) with academic and industry partners (e. g. Innosuisse, Swiss National Science Foundation, international Research funding schemes)
- Collaborating in the acquisition and implementation of funded applied research and development projects with partners from the industry and the public sector
- Publishing research in academic journals and practitioner outlets
- Collaborating in the development and implementation of academic and practitioner focused courses
Your profile
For this exciting position you have or are about to complete a PhD in Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline. We require practical and/or academic experience in the field of International Business & Economics. You have already successfully worked on research projects, published in academic journals and acquired third party funding for your research. Whereas you can apply different research methods, your expertise lies with quantitative methods first with some interest in evidence-based management. You are persuasive, open-minded, an outgoing team player and excellent communicator - fluent in written and spoken English. German being a serious plus for all relations within ZHAW and external partners. You have an entrepreneurial mindset and strong interest in scientific work in cooperation with partners. You take ownership in challenging situations and execute proactively towards a common goal.
The position will offer you the opportunity to establish international partnerships with industrial partners, acquire funding for collaborative research, and to devise and transfer research solutions into enterprise contexts.
Ideally you,
- have a completed MSc in Economics, Business Administration, Political Science or in a closely related field
- have a few years of active research experience (PhD) in one of the research fields of our institute
- handle quantitative methods well
- want to use your education/experience in a business setting
- are dedicated, motivated and have hands-on experience
- are motivated to conduct research in a future-oriented scientific field
- are interested in creating sustainable value for our project partners
- have a convincing personality which combines analytical and conceptual thinking with entrepreneurial behavior
- would like to lecture
