Overall Responsibilities:
Help manage the accounting and operational activities within Financial Accounting Tower. Ensure all accounting entries and partner reports are prepared accurately, completely and within specified deadlines. Optimise the quality of accounting entries and reports while ensuring there is a strong environment of financial control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overall accountability and ownership of the operational activities of the Partners Reporting – Variable Rent Team
- Manage all transactional / operational activity, ensuring it is up to date and meeting the required SLAs. This includes all month-end processes for the calculation of partner and landlord payables, and the submission of regular, periodic reports to landlords and partners globally.
- Constant review of the accuracy of financial data and reports being delivered, eliminating the risk of any unforeseen financial impact
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of reports by taking preventative measures to identify & address the risk
- Review landlord and partner agreements and translate these to landlord/partner reports
- Initiate and engage auditors for agreed upon procedures relating to landlord/partner reports submitted
- Provide full support to various stakeholders, including other Accounting Towers, LSCs, Group HQ Finance, local finance teams, and partnership performance teams ensuring deliveries are of the required quality and meet expectations
- Identify process improvements, for approval by the Global Process Owner. Deliver agreed process efficiency/effectiveness improvements within the GSC finance function and contribute to improvement in other processes both within and beyond the GSC.
- Ensure process documentation is complete and up to date
- Collaborate with other GSC teams, providing support to auditors and legal authorities with the execution of required activities
- Lead, manage and motivate a team, assisting to remove barriers or constraints where necessary. Escalation of critical issues must be made through a standardised process, with continued support to help reach a quick resolution.
- Ensure there is a suitable segregation of duties within the team, meeting all control requirements.
- Summarise and present KPI performance to management, including report submission status/ progress and team performance.
- Assist in leading change within the GSC (Projects, Acquisition/Migration/365 System Migration)
- Perform other tasks assigned by the Senior Manager and Finance Director
Position Requirements:
- Experience of financial accounting and reporting in a blue chip multinational PLC
- Experience of landlord contract management and accounting within a multinational, shared service environment.
- Experience of managing professional teams in a multinational, shared services environment.
- Experience of building strong relationships with peers and Finance Leaders.
- At least 8 years’ experience in Finance and Accounting
- At least 5 years in a management or supervisory role
