The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is the guardian of the Olympic Games and the leader of the Olympic Movement. A truly global organisation, it acts as a catalyst for collaboration between all Olympic stakeholders, including athletes, National Olympic Committees (NOCs), International Sports Federations (IFs), Organising Committees for the Olympic Games (OCOGs), Worldwide Olympic Partners, and Media Rights-Holders. It also works with public and private authorities, including the United Nations and other international organisations.

As a Manager, PMO (Project Management Office) you will enable the Organisation realise its various objectives with your sound experience and capabilities.
Main responsibilities
1. Operations
• Consolidate project and programme portfolio information in collaboration with business managers, providing analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Monitor portfolio rollout, delivering regular updates, dashboards, key performance indicators, and follow-up actions to drive progress.
• Support the Head of Strategic Development in organising PPMO meetings and facilitating the decision-making process, including meeting coordination, agenda preparation, and minute-taking.
• Manage and maintain the IOC’s project management environment (SmartPM Hub/Smartsheet), ensuring its efficient and effective operation.
• Provide monthly portfolio reporting to management, prepare ad hoc reports as required, and support reporting needs for the Plan and Budget Committee.
• Facilitate project prioritisation processes to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
2. Business Ownership
• Serve as the business owner for the IOC’s project management platform, working closely with the Technology and Information department to improve and enhance its functionality.
• Support alignment between the project management platform and the ERP system.
• Support IOC Strategic Development Business Relationship Managers in overseeing programmes and projects, ensuring their alignment with internal procedures.
3. Methodology and Maturity
• Co-facilitate the project management community, including related activities and training initiatives with the Business Relationship Managers
• Continuously refine and enhance PMO processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Strengthen project management maturity at the IOC by reinforcing best practices, implementing methodologies, and optimising procedures.
• Support onboarding and training efforts to ensure effective use of the IOC’s project management tools.
• Provide ad hoc project management support for key identified projects.
Education; language and IT competences
• Post-graduate diploma (Master) or minimum 3-4 years professional experience as PMO.
• Proven track record in the field of management consultancy or project management office, etc.
• Project management certification (PMI or equivalent)
• Proficient use of project management tooling (Smartsheet would be a strong plus), appetite to learn.
• Proficient use of Power BI visualisation tooling and/or appetite to learn.
• Experience in navigating multicultural environments.
• Fluency in English with excellent oral and written knowledge (French is a plus, but not mandatory).
• Proficient in other Microsoft suite tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
