The traineeship begins on 1st of October 2025 and is limited to 18 months with the option of a permanent position.💯
What you will do:
- Shape the future of energy with us! Apply your analytical skills to market news, data and models and introduce innovative approaches to our challenges 📈
- Dive into diverse operational and strategic tasks, taking on real responsibility right from the start
- Use Python and/or R to transform data into valuable business insights
- Your first assignment will be in Quantitative Risk Management, where you will:
- Further develop quantitative research in risk management
- Document and analyse various green certificates and their corresponding market exposures
- Map the regulatory landscape of green certificates across different countries
- Enhance the existing green certificates valuation framework
- Work closely with the Front Office on valuation-related topics
- Explore further, e.g. Model validation, AI applications, scenario analysis
- The second and third assignments are in your specific area of interest, e.g. other Risk Management teams, Energy Fundamentals, Group IT 🚀
What you bring &who you are:
- Master’s degree🎓 in Economics, Statistics, Finance, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or a related field (no more than 2 years of post-graduate professional experience)
- Proficient in Python and/or R, basic understanding of LLM principles
- Strong interest in energy markets and quantitative risk management, experience in the energy sector is a plus
- First working experience as an intern, working student or similar
- Fluent in English and German
- Analytical and conceptual approach to problem solving and ability to communicate complex problems in simple terms
- Collaborative, proactive, and empathetic mindset

You will work in the office in Baden, with the flexibility to work from home as well. The fixed traineeship salary is CHF 86’000 per year, including several attractive fringe benefits.
