Job Description
OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE
As the Global Platform Manager for Clinical Trial Recruitment working in the Enterprise Medical Digital Innovation team, you will serve as the primary liaison across R&D, Medical Affairs, and Commercial in support of Takeda’s Clinical Trial Recruitment Technologies. In this role, you will drive Takeda’s Data and Digital mission to drive innovation for and elevate Clinical Trial Recruitment technologies by leveraging best practices from R&D, Medical Affairs, and Commercial as well as business needs and enterprise architecture principles.
- Liaison between Commercial, Medical Affairs, R&D, and GDD&T teams to support the efficient standup of cross-functional teams to leverage the best domain expertise across the enterprise
- Identify opportunities to ensure a consistent, elevated experience for Takeda patients, trial sites, and HCPs at an enterprise level
- Identify synergies, best practices to leverage, and/or shared platform re-use at an enterprise level; facilitate clear transfer of technical knowledge
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement of Clinical Trial Recruitment technologies in partnership with R&D Data and Technology teams and according to business and R&D demand, prioritized use cases as well as enhanced the existing technology stack.
- Enable stakeholders (both within and outside of Takeda) to consume Takeda’s Global Clinical Trial Recruitment technologies.
- In select instances, enable, perform and manage Product Ownership for R&D Clinical Trial Recruitment technologies, and oversee delivery across all delivery partners.
- Contribute to the Global platform roadmap based on R&D needs through close partnership with R&D Product Managers.
- Advise R&D Product Managers on solution design and architecture for their products’ needs.
- Build a trusted and transparent relationship across all levels of R&D and DD&T
- Socialize changes to existing and new capabilities, tools, components, and consumption models to stakeholders (both within and outside of Takeda) to drive Clinical Trial Recruitment technology adoption and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Prioritize a global backlog to Clinical Trial Recruitment technology product enhancements and operational needs and, in select cases, manage a DevOps Platform POD within our delivery center to deliver on the prioritized backlog.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Partner with global and regional stakeholders to understand business strategy and design solutions aligned to business needs.
- Act as the primary liaison for R&D teams to bring forth enterprise-level strategic insights and cross-functional teaming from GDD&T, Commercial, and Medical Affairs for optimizing Clinical Trial Recruitment technologies.
- Drive alignment of proposed solutions according to enterprise standards as well as alignment with Takeda architectural, security, privacy, and quality standards.
- In select instances, develop and own the Clinical Trial Recruitment technologies roadmap driven by R&D demand and strategic imperatives, prioritizing reusability and enterprise scalability for deployment.
- In select instances, lead business case development process by designing and documenting proposed solutions in alignment with business, R&D demand, and consistency at the enterprise level.
- Provide technical and functional support for Clinical Trial Recruitment technologies, providing insights on platform enhancements, integration, and scalability from a cross-functional lens.
- Partner with DD&T and other R&D stakeholders to enable the consumption of Clinical Trial Recruitment technologies.
- Support development of scalable services and platform operational/ governance processes to ensure smooth day-to-day operations in partnership with IT, business, and other key stakeholders.
- Provide enterprise insights (architectural consulting, provide insight to industry trends) for Clinical Trial Recruitment technologies in collaboration with various stakeholders.
- Partner with DD&T and other R&D stakeholders to establish and institutionalize regular end-to-end KPI reviews for solution adoption, and continuous solution improvement process.
EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Essential
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or Clinical Trial Recruitment related fields or equivalent experience
- 11+ years of relevant experience implementing technologies in either Commercial, Medical Affairs, or R&D
- Strong understanding of Clinical Trial Recruitment processes and technologies
- Strong “soft skills” and English communication skills.
- Experience working in a life sciences environment is strongly preferred
- Experience working in an agile environment is strongly preferred.

- Knowledge of state-of-the-art Clinical Trial Recruitment technologies.
- Business Acumen in the Clinical Trial Recruitment space in Life Sciences.
- Able to engage with all levels of the organization and be proficient at building out clearly defined business requirements during discussions with stakeholders.
- Able to communicate and foster alignment across all levels of the organization.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships with team members in GDD&T, Commercial, Medical Affairs, and other enterprise functions like System Integrators, Digital Leads, and Enterprise Architects.
- Able to generate breakthrough solutions and enable others to do so.
- Day-to-day decisions regarding designing, developing, and implementing Clinical Trial Recruitment technologies across Takeda globally.
- Able to present issues and recommend solutions succinctly to Global, Senior and Executive Management frequently.
- Recommend and monitor spending for project budgets.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- International Travel of up to 10% may be required from this position.

U.S. Base Salary Range:
149,100.00 - 234,300.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives.
