For the Soft-Matter Group in the Laboratory for Neutron Scattering and Imaging, Center for Neutron and Muon Sciences, we are looking for a
Your tasks
- User support on a small-angle neutron scattering instrument at SINQ
- Operation and development of neutron scattering instrumentation
- Ambitious own research program in soft matter and scientific collaboration with external user groups
- Management of a sample preparation laboratory
- Acquisition of external funding for science and instrumentation projects
Your profile
- PhD degree in chemistry or physical chemistry or equivalent
- Strong track record in the field of soft matter science
- Expert for large-scale facilities experiments such as SANS/SAXS, or imaging techniques, and instrumentation
- Experience with soft-matter characterization techniques (e.g., light scattering, rheology) is a plus
- Experience with analysis of scattering and imaging data and related software development is a plus
