You will be working in the Roche Diagnostics Product Sustainability and Compliance (PS&C) team. We partner with the business to push innovation in environmental sustainability and ensure transparency & effectiveness of product environmental compliance activities using data insights. This will provide you with the experience of working in a cross-functional and international team where inclusion and diversity are highly valued.

The scope of work will include supporting our LifeCycle Analysis Experts with product data collection activities, including identification of material numbers, searches in SAP and other data systems, data extraction, and data organization in data collection template. You will also conduct simplified carbon footprint calculations for internal decisions related to ecodesign or Roche’s Net Zero targets. In addition, you will be supporting the team with various tasks in the product sustainability space.

This internship position is located in Rotkreuz, Switzerland, hybrid (60% onsite).

Key Responsibilities

• Support product data collection for Roche Diagnostics LCAs

• Perform simplified carbon footprint calculations for various products and processes.

• Support instrument energy data collection program

Who You Are

You are enrolled or have completed your Bachelor or are enrolled in your Master’s studies at a university, preferably in the field of Environmental Science or Engineering after February 2024 and are interested in applying your knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship.

Furthermore you

• Are experienced in using Google Sheets for data analysis and have the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.

• Have applied knowledge in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)

• Are a proactive team player who contributes to decisions about the project, but who can work independently.

• Are a confident communicator with excellent English language skills and who is passionate about driving sustainability initiatives forward.

Technical details:

The start date for the internship is March 2025 with a duration of 12 months.

Part-time employment is possible.

If required, it is possible to write a thesis during the internship.

The application deadline is November 11th. Interviews will take place in late November and early December.
