Roche Data Scientists are essential leaders in driving and implementing a broad range of quantitative drug development strategies; they bring data to life and enable the organization to make the best possible data-driven decisions.
As a Statistician in the Methods, Collaboration and Outreach group within Product Development (PD) at Roche Pharma, you will actively shape the future of healthcare. This group leads in the development and implementation of statistical methodologies that enable quantitative critical insights, decision making, and excellence in drug development across Roche.
The Opportunity

Provide state-of-the-art consultations for project teams on statistical techniques, designs, and methodology across a variety of therapeutic areas and/or phases of research to help colleagues grow and develop their capacity to impelment appropriate and evolving quantitative analysis methods and special trial designs

Identify common challenges and discover potential solutions to facilitate efficiency in drug development and rigorous analysis

Lead or collaborate on efforts to support prioritization, simplification, or innovation to accelerate and deliver patient benefits faster.

Enable adoption of appropriate methodologies at scale within the drug development community by publishing scientific papers, speaking at conferences, developing trainings, and participating in the development of statistical software packages.

Build and utilize strong partnerships and collaborations to innovate across the Roche global organization and externally.
Who you are
-
Masters degree or higher or equivalent education in mathematics, biostatistics, or relevant technical discipline.

Experience in the design and analysis of clinical trial and/or healthcare data;

Proficiency in using modern programming languages (eg., R, python, julia)

Experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry is preferred.

Track record of establishing success partnerships and collaborations

Influential and confident communicator and educator

Demonstrates experience or is adaptable to utilizing and/or models modern ways of working consistent with an agile and growth mindset, and agile behaviors and methodologies.

Fluency in written and spoken English

Ability to work across multiple cultures and countries

Knowledge of GCP, international regulations, guidelines and their application, and all other applicable compliance standards is a plus

Willingness to travel as required
