Process Engineer CNC Machining
As part of a growing and energized process engineering team you will industrialize and continuously optimize engine piece part machining repair processes in accordance with OEM prerequisites.
You will be responsible for all Special Machining Processes (Milling, Turning, Grinding and Electro-discharge Machining).
You will lead industrialization of processes and equipment in close collaboration with Shop Floor Operations.
The role collaborates integrally with our Operations, Process Engineering, Tool and Equipment Engineering, Shop Engineering, Machine Maintenance, and external vendors.
Your tasks
- Define standardized machining repair processes and ensure that these meet applicable quality and compliance standards of the OEM, customers, internal processes and state of the art technologies
- Your areas of responsibility will cover NC/CNC Milling, Turning, Grinding and Electro-discharge machining processes and support processes thereof
- Conduct continuous improvement of processes under your responsibility using (Safety, Lean, Quality and Engineering tools like Kaizen Events, SPC, FPY, OEE and Problem Solving Methods resulting in improved safety, quality, delivery and costs for our customers
- Provide coaching and training to operations colleagues as needed ensuring best in class manufacturing principles
- Provide support for the industrialization projects according to plan (SQDCP) and define mitigations when necessary, support the industrialization of new repairs and renewal of existing repairs
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Repair Engineering, Tooling Engineering and/or Shop Engineering to ensure Safety, Quality Cost and Delivery is not impacted for our customers
Your profile
- Experience in CNC machining in the areas of milling, turning and grinding and EDM processes
- Experienced in manufacturing and/or maintenance of rotating equipment
- Good knowledge of CNC programming on Siemens 840D & ONE and Heidenhain iTNC 530 & TNC 640
- Proactive, positive and flexible character with a strong execution mentality and the ability to work autonomously and within teams on complex tasks
- High safety, quality, delivery and cost awareness
- Experience in project management, lean and quality methodologies
- Scientific/Technical degree MSc or BSc Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in similar industries
- Fluent in English (Level C1), German (Level B1) is an advantage
