We are looking for a Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager 80-100% to support the Group’s Regulatory Affairs Team.
The Group Regulatory Affairs team consists of highly qualified, collaborative, and motivated regulatory specialists. Reporting directly to the Group General Counsel, our team is responsible for shaping and managing the Group’s relationship with the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA (FINMA), Zurich’s group supervisor. Additionally, Group Regulatory Affairs drives a coordinated approach throughout the Group in its engagements with host supervisors across the globe and provides support to Zurich’s board, executive management, and business units in their supervisory interactions, enabling Zurich to achieve its strategic and commercial goals.

What you will do

Actively manage the relationship and supervisory interactions with FINMA, ensuring open and transparent communication consistent with our organizational values;

Coordinate supervisory inquiries, reviews, on-site inspections, reporting, and other supervisory activities, engaging with both internal and external stakeholders;

Collaborate with local regulatory relations managers in key jurisdictions to promote a coordinated approach to supervisory activities and emerging supervisory trends across the Group;

Provide advice, risk assessments, and guidance on wide range of regulatory topics to the business and other key functions within the Zurich Group;

Analyse emerging regulatory trends and legislation allowing for timely anticipation of their potential impact on the organization and actively contribute to regulatory policy developments;

Deliver clear, concise, and timely briefings and reporting to board members and executive management;

Coordinate information and data requests of the International Association of Insurance supervisors (IAIS), the Financial Stability Board (FSB) and other international organizations.
What you bring
As a Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager, your skills and qualifications ideally include:

At least 5-7 years relevant professional experience in a related field (i.e. insurance, banking, financial services, audit, law firm or at a supervisory authority);

Relevant university or a qualification in finance, business administration, economics or law;

Familiarity with regulatory developments in the financial sector in Switzerland and other key jurisdictions;

Ability to articulate complex matters in a concise and conclusive manner, and the skill to confidently and convincingly engage with senior management and subject matter experts in the business and other key functions within the Zurich Group;

Creative and strategic thinking, paired with an independent and solution-oriented mindset;

Strong commitment to collaborative teamwork;

Good conceptual, organizational and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail;

Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate and manage complex relationships with internal and external stakeholders;

Distinct ability to communicate effectively, both in German and English is required.
