The Cross-border Research Association (CBRA) is seeking a skilled and motivated professional to lead Work Package 9 (WP9) within the BORDERLINK project. This position is central to the project's success, encompassing communication, dissemination, exploitation, standardization, and market uptake activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Communication and Dissemination (Months 1-36): Develop and implement an effective communication strategy to ensure key messages reach diverse stakeholders. Oversee and create the project website, newsletters, blogs, and introductory videos. Disseminate scientific and technical findings to maximize accessibility and impact.
Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and manage the BORDERLINK Stakeholder Forum (BOSF), with six dedicated sub-fora for focused discussions. Engage customs administrations, law enforcement agencies, and private-sector entities in collaborative activities. Organize and participate in key workshops, meetings, and events with stakeholders across the EU and beyond.
Exploitation and Market Uptake (Months 13-36): Identify and promote Key Exploitable Results (KERs) for commercialization. Conduct market analyses to identify customer segments, revenue streams, and marketing strategies. Oversee intellectual property rights protection, including trademark registrations and prior art evaluations.
Standardization Activities (Months 3-36): Advance standardization efforts by refining existing customs and interoperability models. Collaborate with international standardization bodies to enhance technology frameworks and systems.
Governance Models and Policy Recommendations: Address governance challenges related to data usage, sharing, and decision-making. Provide policy recommendations aligned with EU Customs frameworks and legislative initiatives.
Travel and Events:
Attendance at all meetings, workshops, and events associated with the BORDERLINK project is mandatory. This position requires travel across Europe, with all travel expenses covered by the project.
Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (advanced proficiency required). Advanced degree in International Relations, Customs, Communication, or a related field. Proven experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and international collaboration. Strong understanding of customs operations, standardization processes, and market exploitation. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Experience in intellectual property management and policy coordination is highly desirable.
