To support our expanding forensic chemistry services, we are looking for a Forensic Scientist with expertise in particle identification and characterization to conduct investigations related to contamination in pharmaceutical products.
About the Position
Location: Basel, Switzerland (Rosental area)
Start Date: as soon as possible
Employment Rate: 100% (permanent position)
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct forensic investigations of pharmaceutical products, focusing on particle contamination and material characterization.
- Apply advanced analytical techniques (e.g., microscopy, spectroscopy, etc..) to identify and characterize foreign particulate matter.
- Support root cause analysis for contamination events in pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
- Develop and execute study protocols, analyze data, and prepare technical reports.
- Collaborate with clients to define project scopes, interpret results, and provide scientific guidance.
Your Profile
- MSc or BSc in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Forensic Science, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of industry experience in forensic chemistry, contamination control, or material characterization.
- Technical expertise in particle identification techniques (e.g., FTIR, Raman spectroscopy, SEM-EDS, light microscopy).
