IonQ is seeking a driven Quantum Sales Executive to lead growth in Germany and the broader European market. As a pivotal member of our cross-functional team, you will have the unique opportunity to drive IonQ's mission of developing the world’s most advanced quantum computers. Our cutting-edge technology is designed to tackle some of the most challenging and significant problems facing the world today.
In this role, you will be a quantum ambassador, influencing major commercial and governmental sectors by introducing them to the transformative power of quantum computing. Your efforts will help unlock new possibilities in various industries, setting the stage for groundbreaking advancements.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and progress a robust pipeline of commercial and government opportunities for IonQ’s innovative products and services.
- Craft tailored customer proposals that adhere to specific customer and regional requirements, with a particular focus on the DACH countries.
- Assess and qualify potential opportunities based on budget, need, readiness, and timing.
- Negotiate and finalize agreements, fostering long-term business relationships.
- Champion customer satisfaction and address any relationship concerns, ensuring they are communicated to the broader team.
- Expectations are to drive double-digit million Euro in yearly new signings.
You’d be a good fit with:
- An undergraduate degree in Engineering, Science, Math, Computer Science or another relevant technical field.
- At least 10 years of experience in Sales or Business Development.
- Demonstrate understanding of fundamental quantum computing principles, acquired through education, self-study, or professional experience.
- Proven experience with or understanding of basic quantum computing concepts gained through coursework, independent learning, or previous work.
- Fluency in German, both verbally and in writing, with a deep understanding of the local business culture.

- Experience in technical pre-sales or solutions engineering.
- A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in closing complex deals.
- Experience collaborating with governments, national labs, and tech companies.
