In short
As a key contributor to the sportswear revolution, you will be instrumental in developing the next generation of high performance Textiles. You will partner with fellow polymer specialists, textile engineers, designers and product developers to deliver new material solutions that will fuel On’s broader innovation efforts. Additionally, you will have a key role in coordinating and collaborating with external research centers, material startups and scale up partners to create materials that align with our brand direction and inspire the future of high performance and sustainable Apparel.
Your Mission
- Research and develop new fibers and textiles that will improve the circularity, comfort and performance of On’s apparel in partnership with European and Asian partners.
- Explore emerging technologies and trends in textiles, sustainability, and performance materials to integrate them into the product lines.
- Conduct yarn, textile material testing and evaluations to assess performance, durability, comfort, and functionality of materials for specific applications
- Come up with innovative concepts in order to elevate the performance of our athletes.
- Create and manage new and existing collaborations with leading partners and suppliers in specific technologies such as research institute, yarn factories, and material vendors to successfully implement technologies into production.
- Lead or contribute to multiple innovation projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, budgets, testing and quality standards are met in relation to the Inline creation calendar.
- Present findings, material innovations, and prototypes to stakeholders, including senior leadership and external partners.
