Sourcing Manager – Components (m/f/d)

Based in Schaffhausen, you will be responsible for sourcing a variety of direct materials for two GF divisions internationally, following the policies and directives. You will have a global impact by executing procurement category strategies, reporting to the Regional Procurement Category Manager, aligning with Global Procurement leadership, and liaising with Operational Procurement and cross-functional stakeholders.

Your tasks:

• Strategic cost management including competitive tenders (RFP, RFQ), annual price negotiations, and price agreements for the assigned direct materials (mechanical and plastic parts)
• Secure availability of the assigned direct materials from key suppliers needed for the regional production needs of GF, with the expected level of quality and supplier performance
• Identification of the best sourcing options in the market, evaluation of supplier performance and risk mitigation, with definition and execution of appropriate supplier development actions
• Liaise with the Global Procurement network and production companies, communication and execution of the supply agreements negotiated
• Cooperate and influence R&D, Materials Technology, and Product Management for improvement of the procurement strategy, identifying and leveraging synergies across the group suppliers and consolidating the global spending of the division
• Conduct supplier audits and on-site visits, especially in the DACH region, Northern Italy, and Eastern Europe

Your profile:

• Commercial or engineering degree (Bachelor's or Master's) combined with solid commercial understanding
• 2+ years of relevant experience in international organizations and the strategic sourcing of direct materials
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and networking skills, with the ability to manage multiple suppliers and stakeholders under pressure
• Ability to work autonomously or as part of international cross-functional teams
• Proactive and entrepreneurial attitude, positive "can-do" approach
• Result-oriented analytical approach
• Proficiency in MS Office with advanced Excel and PowerPoint and good SAP knowledge (purchasing modules)
• Fluent knowledge of English language (spoken and written); knowledge of German is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 15%
